What is Crypto
Profit Calculator?
A crypto profit calculator is a free online tool that helps traders calculate their exact profit or loss from any cryptocurrency trade. Unlike basic profit calculators that only subtract buy price from sell price, a proper crypto profit calculator includes trading fees on both sides of the trade.
When you buy crypto your exchange charges a fee. When you sell crypto your exchange charges another fee. On a $1000 trade with 0.5% fees both ways you lose $10 before any profit. Over 20 trades that is $200 lost to fees alone money that never shows up as a loss in basic calculators.
Our free crypto profit calculator solves this. Enter your investment amount, buy price, sell price and fee percentages. We instantly show you your net profit, ROI percentage, exact fees paid and coins purchased. Works for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana and 500+ coins with live real-time prices from CoinGecko.
How to
Calculate Crypto Profit
The formula for calculating crypto profit is:
Net Profit = Exit Value — Investment — Total Fees
Where Exit Value = Coins × Sell Price
Where Total Fees = Buy Fee Amount + Sell Fee Amount
For example: you invest $1000 in Bitcoin at $60,000 with 0.1% buy fee. You sell at $75,000 with 0.1% sell fee. Your net profit is $249.50 not $250. That $0.50 difference is your fees. Our calculator does all this math instantly so you never have to.

What is the difference between gross profit and net profit?
Gross profit is your profit before fees are deducted. Net profit is what you actually keep after all trading fees are paid. Most basic calculators show gross profit. Ours shows net profit the real number that matters. Use your exchange’s maker or taker fee percentage. Common fees are: Binance 0.1%, Coinbase 0.5%, Kraken 0.26%, Bybit 0.1%. If you are unsure, check your exchange’s fee schedule page or use 0.5% as a safe estimate.
How do I calculate crypto profit?
To calculate crypto profit, subtract your total buy costfrom your total sell value, then deduct all trading fees. Our free crypto profit calculator does this automatically just enter your investment amount, buy price, sell price, and fee percentages to get your exact net profit.
What is ROI in crypto trading?
ROI stands for Return on Investment. In crypto trading, it tells you what percentage profit or loss you made compared to your original investment. For example, if you invested $1000 and made $250 profit, your ROI is 25%. Our calculator shows your ROI automatically.
Why is my actual crypto profit lower than expected?
Most traders forget to include trading fees. Every exchange charges a fee when you buy AND when you sell. On a $1000 trade with 0.5% fees both ways, you lose $10 before any profit. Our calculator includes both fees so your result reflects what you actually keep.
What trading fees should I use in the calculator?
Use your exchange’s maker or taker fee percentage. Common fees are: Binance 0.1%, Coinbase 0.5%, Kraken 0.26%, Bybit 0.1%. If you are unsure, check your exchange’s fee schedule page or use 0.5% as a safe estimate.
